WHAT ARE IMPACT TEAMS?

Impact Teams are action-oriented groups within Bidwell's Mission Committee, each with a unique focus on loving our neighbors in tangible, meaningful ways. They're designed to be accessible, relational, and rooted in faith — places where you can serve, learn, and grow alongside others.

You might feel at home on an Impact Team if you:

• Want to make a tangible difference, even in small ways
• Desire to care for people, near and far
• Love hands-on involvement that cultivates growth
• Want to serve alongside others in meaningful ways

FINDING YOUR FIT

Each team is a different expression of the same calling: to love God, love our neighbor, and participate with each other in God’s work in the world.

Below are some questions that may help as you consider where to serve:

• What stirs your compassion?
• How do you naturally connect with people?
• What kind of energy do you bring—planning, caring, doing, going?
• How much time do you have in this season?

Compassion Collective Team
Walking alongside vulnerable members of our community through presence, support, and compassionate action.
Recent example: This month's "Tackling Hunger" food drive

Creation Care Team
Caring for God's creation through learning, stewardship, and practices that honor the earth and its Creator.
Recent examples: Landfill field trips, discipleship classes, Bike to Church Sunday

Mission Invitation Team
Creating events that connect BPC to the work God is doing through Missions, inviting participation and growth through service.
Recent examples: AGF fundraiser, Sunday for Mission, Mission Table Brunches

Serve Chico Team
Planning and organizing BPC's annual all-church service day—a fun afternoon of serving our city through multiple projects, bringing us closer together while blessing our community, then celebrating with food and fellowship.

Hands-On Mission Team
Planning short-term mission trips and developing creative local opportunities that combine service, spiritual growth, and community.
Recent examples: Trips to Casa Hogar, Jesus Center Breakfasts

Welcome Beloved Team
Extending Christ's love to refugees through relationship, care, and practical support as they navigate a new culture and city.

Joining an Impact Team isn’t about having the right resume or a lot of experience. It’s about showing up, getting involved, and serving alongside others in ways that are meaningful and life-giving, so feel free to jump in wherever you're drawn!
